Drown Out Trump  (Facebook Events Page)

Today, August 27 at 9 PM – 11 PM

The White House

Public · Hosted by Shut Down DC-Climate Strike Washington, DC

(Description from organizer.)

"On Thursday, August 27, Donald Trump will convert the White House into his own private campaign venue as he delivers his RNC nomination acceptance speech from the South Lawn.

He plans to stand in front of his Presidential Palace and make his pitch to the American people for four more years of his racist, reckless and destructive agenda.
We aren’t having it.
We’ll be at the White House on Thursday to drown out his racist rhetoric with another vision for the future of our country.

We’re standing up for democracy and committing ourselves to the hard work of dismantling the interlocking systems of oppression that have held us all down since the founding of this country.
Join ShutDownDC and Long Live GoGo on Thursday, August 27 from 9pm to 11pm for a noise demonstration and dance party to Drown Out Trump.
We plan on meeting at 17th and Pennsylvania NW, but text STRIKEDC to 88202 for live updates on logistics for the action."
